eventfull days

finally enough happend in a short period of time that i feel like writing a journal entry

sunday night i was at another john butler concert and it was even better then the last one (see last journal).
during the performance of "peaches and cream" some girls got him distracted with sparklers (this aint N'Sync. doesnt happen everyday ;) ) and he lost track of the song.
after he got back in (everyone sang along) he did the song and the band joined in somewhere in the middle. when they were done, the audience kept singin a rythm part and the chorus of the song, for a minute or two alone until the band rejoined.
was very cool.
after that it was the ususal concert but performed with the most enthusiasm i have ever seen on stage.
its was there.
really great stuff.

oooon monday morning i went climbing for the frist time in about two weeks (had to take a break due to exams)
and TADAAAA! :sing:
the new tower was done.
the new walls and the new grips in there are as rough as sandpaper so i have hands as soft as velvet now ;P
really amzing wall design and i can not wait to explore more of the routes.

and on monday night, i just come home from a friend and just when i come home and get out the s-bahn, the station is dark.
all there was left were emergency lights.
turns out a little tornado has hit hamburg harburgs main powerline and took down the following:
- electricity for 300000 people (including the water in higher builings, because they rely on pumps)
- the cellphone net
- the phone net (not really. but i could not make any phonecalls 'cuz all the phones in my apartment (3!) need more power then the phoneline provides)
- the internet (no power - no router - no DSL) :crying:
so me and my flatmates spend a nice evening with candlelight playing cards (skat).
funny thing was, that i decided (against what i usually do) to have a couple of cheeseburgers on the train while my flatmate threw in his noodles one minute before the power went out
the blackout was from about 19:00 h until 5 o'clock next moring.

John Butler in concert

Sun Nov 6, 2005, 6:20 AM
It has been like forever since i last wrote a new journal, but i thought i might just do a short entry today.

the tite of this entry might have given it away, but was at a john butler trio concert yesterday, and they effin rocked.
good thing i was standing third row (was more like first, the girls in front of me were tiny) because john butler was sitting almost the whole time and the stage was about knee high, so that he was face to face with the audience.
if you want to get to know his music, check out johnbutlertrio.com and download (180mb) some live shit of his.
but if you like his music, please support the artist, by buying his album "sunset over sea".
he is nice enough to share his music, so don't screw him over.

edit: coolest shit ever:
a pigeon just hit the wall right next to my window. not my window, the wall next to it. :#1:
big fucking explosion of feathers and a noticable "pock!" where my first clues, the dead pigeon about 2 meters from the wall (and about 5 meters away from the point it hit the wall) were my next one.
the bad thing about it is: when i stick my head out my window, the wall smells like shit. :(
but otherwise: :boogie: that made my day.

yeah i know my gallery was not the biggest one on the site, but none the less i decided to put all my deviations in storage to support `justthorne. details can be found here.
please take the time to read them.

edit: i decided to take my most recent deviation out of the storage, because it was looking so empty on my page :crying: i couldn't take it any more

Oh happy day....

i am such a doofus, i forgot to mention a very important happening from last weekend.
i went to see Apocalyptica.
the show was just totally awesome and i could kick my ass that i didnt bring my camera...(though my film is only half full and its ISO200...)
these guys rocked so hard, it was inferno. and now i wonder how i could have ever questioned their decision to have a drummer. that guy was spectacular.
funny thing about it is: that was a family event for me.
i went there with my sister, my mother and my father.

i started climbing and it r0x0rz my b0x0rz
i can hardly wait to go at it again.

:postit:Matters of dA

dA started a beta testing program and every subscriber can take part. the things you can look foreward to include an inhanced commenting system (we talked about it, alderman, remember? ), a significant improvement of the literature section and of course deviantMOBILE.
great shit

:postit:Matters of wasted money

:shakefist: when i was shopping for mangas i saw a new release from Evangelion (NGE): the "iron maiden 2nd" series. since i own the storyboard/concept artbook for the "iron maiden" computer game and the game itself looks kinda cool i thought: "dude", i thought, "you should buy that."
my ass should buy that.
everyone is totally out of character. asuka is in love with shinji, they get along (somewhat), rei is the nice girl next door and kaworu and shinji are friends. :puke:
this thing seems to be some sort of shinji/rei fanfiction.
6 € for that? i could have bought beer from that money. or one third of a DVD. or two guitarstrings. or whatever.
now its gone. :tears:
well, fuck it.
life goes on.

:postit:Matters of uni

i got to design a wood splitter. i am not really looking foreward to it, for the scedule is very tight. at least until the first deadline.
